E3 2016 – The highlights

The E3 is not only one of the most important events for industry professionals – every June gamers around the world are waiting for news about their favorite games. In this post, we give you a short summary of E3 2016’s Top 10 games.


 

Watch Dogs 2 PC (November 15)

Watch Dogs 2 combines the gameplay of the first game with a new story and setting: As Marcus Holloway you will fight side by side with “DedSec”, once again challenging the ctOS. This time, your hacking skills will allow you to manipulate data and infrastructure in San Francisco.

Dishonored 2 (November 11)

Dishonored 2 continues the story of the first game: 15 years after the events in Dunwall, you will be faced with a whole new set of problems. As Corvo Attano or Emily Kaldwin, you can choose between nonlethal stealth gameplay and direct confrontation to defeat your enemies.


Mafia 3 (October 7)

With Mafia 3, 2K promises to combine an exciting gangster story with interesting and diverse gameplay.


Battlefield 1 (October 21)

In Battlefield 1 players will no longer fight on modern battlegrounds – instead they will be transferred to the fronts of World War I. With historic sites and technology, EA promises an authentic and thrilling experience.

Resident Evil 7 (January 24, 2017)

With a demo that is reminiscent of Kojima’s P.T., Resident Evil 7 may feature some fresh content the series was in badly need of.


FIFA 17 (September 29)

This year’s FIFA will not only feature the usual visual and gameplay improvements – for the first time in the history of the series there will be a real story campaign.

Titanfall 2 (October 28)

The sequel to Titanfall will not only feature new Titans, skills and weapons – this time players will also get a full single player campaign.


Mass Effect Andromeda (March 2017)

With Mass Effect Andromeda, Bioware begins a completely new story in the well known universe: Centuries after the events of the Mass Effect trilogy, you will be able to explore a whole new galaxy with greater freedom.


Prey (2017)

One of the biggest surprises of this year’s E3 was Bethesda’s announcement of Prey. After the cancellation of Prey 2 in 2014, Arkane is rebooting the franchise completely. You will play as Morgan Yu, who fights for his survival against an alien invasion.


Quake Champions

With Quake Champions, id Software promises to bring back the legendary arena multiplayer gameplay that was the staple of the Quake series.
