After teasing the game with a daylong livestream, Ubisoft has finally revealed the latest entry of the popular FPS franchise Far Cry.

In Far Cry Primal, players will once again experience the dangers of wild animals and hostile humans – though the setting has drastically changed: For the first time in the history of the series, players will venture to the year 10.000 B.C., where they will have to rely on stone-age weaponry to defend themselves against several extinct beasts and hostile clans.

Despite the new setting, Ubisoft promises the return of established Far Cry mechanics like outposts, crafting and character upgrades.

Far Cry Primal releases on February 23 for PS4 and Xbox One, the PC version will be available in March 2016.
