While there are still a few days left until the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a new launch trailer allows fans a closer look at the upcoming sequel to Konamis popular franchise.

The five-minute long video shows some new footage of The Phantom Pain – as well as some of the most iconic moments in the history of the Metal Gear series.

In a new blog post Konami also announced a companion app: Similar to its predecessor Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain will allow players to use their phone as a second screen to access an in-game map as well as music and soundfiles. The app will work with the PS4, PS3 und Xbox One versions of the game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on September 1 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
